I recently entered some digital paintings mounted on second-hand board into an art show called ‘In Their Hands’. 20% of proceeds went towards local environmental projects. I am interested in making sustainable art, and even more interested in using sustainability as a theme for my art, so this particular exhibition struck a chord with me. It was held at Carindale Sustainaibility Centre, and curated by Genevieve Robey.
I entered two series: ‘Flying Fox Falls’ (4 pieces, 8″x12′) and ‘Infinite Extinction’ (2 pieces, 12″x16″)
The curator and I have plans to work on more sustainable projects together in the future.
